THRACE. Ainos. Circa 463/2-462/1 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 16.54 g, 3 h). Head of Hermes to right, wearing close-fitting petasos with pelleted rim. Rev. AINI Goat standing right; to right, dog standing right; all within incuse square. Gulbenkian II, 452. HGC 3.2, 1266. May, Ainos, Group VIII, 28 (A15/P22). A very attractive example with beautiful old collection toning. Minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
